The Eating Tree #3 metal print by Marty Klar. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
There's a word that describes the seeing of faces in nature and everyday objects. It's, pareidolia. It's a psychological phenomena. Can't help it. It's just a thing. I'd trade it for a better sense of direction, but what can one do. This tree appears to have a mouth and arms that could grab you. The tree will then eat you. I may not sleep well tonight. This is the perfect tree for a cemetery, but alas, it's on a friends property in wine country.
About Marty Klar
During the late 60's I started taking pictures in my hometown of Brooklyn, NY with my father's Rolleicord. I was immediately taken with the art of composition. After buying my first 35MM Canon SLR and moving into Manhattan in 1974, I took a workshop with renowned Nikon photographer/educator George Obremski. I came away inspired. George made it clear, "You don't take pictures, you make pictures." Photography was my first love and has remained a hobby to this day. My career was in advertising as a copywriter. As I moved from one ad agency to another in NYC then to Los Angeles, and finally to Grand Rapids, MI I rose through the ranks to become a Creative Director.
