Artist's Description

I began a series of acrylic paintings using only one brush, except it's not a brush. It's more like a small flat spatula. The edge is tapered so I can dip it into the paint and poke the canvas or board; with the result being a straight line. Doing so allows you to create semi curved vases, tables, table cloths etc. End to end these lines deliver a kind of styled look that I find appealing. I use the same approach to create the stems of the flowers. The flat side of the spatula/brush is used to create the floral masses. Final result: slightly abstract/impressionistic still life paintings.
